Bauma China, the International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Construction Vehicles and Equipment has been held six times since its premiere show in 2002. And the exhibition area has been expanded from 40,000 sqm in 2002 to 300,000 sqm in 2012, hence it became the first show that covered all the available exhibition space of the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).

In difference with Bauma China 2012, the fair area was enriched with shopping malls and business centers close by. The transportation the the area was very easy with the connecting metro lines. Fort he visitors, every detail was though out from accomondation to shopping and transportation. Very well urban planning in the Fair Area.

Bauma China not only provides an international platform for exhibitors and visitors from all over the world to communicate, to do business and to build sustainable success, but also promotes the development of the Chinese construction machinery industry. The successful history of bauma China in the past ten years has also witnessed the sustained prosperity of the Chinese market and led to the take-off of the Chinese construction machinery industry.

This year, the fair was held on 25-28 November 2014. Overall, the attendance to the fair was fairly low comparing to the previous years. It was very sad to see many big Chinese and International companies did not attend such an important exhibition of the year. Especially, huge companies like CAT chose not to attend, and the attending big companies had their stands shrinked regarding the last times. The declaration of the companies why they chose not to participate was due to China’s domestic markets shrinking.

First time ever, it was visible by everyone that the visitor attendance was also in decline. Chinese attendance had a dramatic fall and this was clearly visible from the entrance Gates that were empty- no queue at all. Visiting Bauma China since it has started, comparing to previous years, the emptiness was greatly noticed. Before, we’d have to wait in linet o get in for minimum 20 minutes. And now, no lines at all. The fair area was also very empty and from the attention visitors got from the stands were very high. Because the attendance was very low, the companies were very eigar to contact with the atendees.

Regarding the Official Economical Indexs from the end of November 2014 from China, import&export volumes has dropped. Which shows that Chinese Economy is decreasing.

Turkey for the first time attended as a Country Stand with 16 different companies joining. And the Turkish Citizens were a huge percentage of the International Visitors, entering the top 5.
