Inter-Beton is a leading ready mix concrete producer in Belgium. Their production process includes the recycling of concrete from delivery truck washing. Recovered sand, gravel and cement are separated and temporarily stocked. The sedimentation of cement in the buffer tank must be avoided. The problem with mechanical agitators, often used in these applications, is that they mainly keep the slurry in movement but do not prevent the settling down of the cement. The solution is pumping the cement, mixing it with water and thus keeping it in suspension. That is exactly what the Toyo VHA 10 pump, installed at Inter-Beton, does in only one operation.

The agitator integrated in the VHA stirs up the settled cement and creates a homogeneous mixture which is then pumped and ejected with force through its 3 outlet pipes. The powerful flushes generate a permanent movement in the slurry.

Thanks to this innovative abrasion resistant Toyo pump, Inter-Beton can use its recycled cement slurry directly in their production of concrete.
